Explicitly Navigate Trade-offs

How do you facilitate decisions when conflicting priorities or user needs emerge?

When faced with competing objectives, make the trade-off explicit. Clearly articulate the different paths and their respective benefits and drawbacks, allowing the group to consciously choose their preferred direction.

Example

The team debated between making onboarding easy for new users (speaking names) versus maintaining speed for existing users (numeric codes). The facilitator needed to highlight this as a clear choice point.
