Address Goal Misalignment Mid-Session
What do you do when you detect a fundamental disagreement on the workshop's goal during the session?
If significant goal misalignment becomes apparent during a session, pause the primary activity. Dedicate a short, focused segment to explicitly check in and realign on the workshop’s purpose with all key participants present.
Example
The facilitator realized the manager’s goal differed from the product owner’s. An option would have been to call a 20-minute session to explicitly re-align on the workshop’s goal with the manager present.
